Working as a School Nurse

A School Nurse is a specialist community public health nurse (SCPHN) who works with children adn young people in schools to improve their general health and wellbeing. As a registered NMC Agency Nurse you will be expected to have undertaken additional training to be specialised in working in schools.

The key responsibilites of a School Nurse are to identify health risks and take proactive action to ensure the correct care is administered. As well as working with young people, you'll also be expected to educate parents and teachers to the relevant health issues associated with a patient.
