Working as an ODP & Theatre Nurse

An Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) plays a vital role as part of the wider operating theatre team. They provide individualised and skilled care to patients at all stages of an operation, from arrival to discharge.

As an ODP & Theatre Agency Nurse, you'll be expected to work across three main areas: anaesthetics, surgey and recovery. In all three environments, it will be your responsibility to ensure the correct equipment and a safe setting is provided.
