October is a significant month for the team at Nutrix Personnel as it marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month. During this time, we all come together to raise awareness and show our support to those who have been affected by breast cancer. We believe in the importance of educating our employees by providing valuable information about breast cancer, while also trying to raise awareness in our wider community.
Understanding Breast Cancer
It is so important to realise the severity of this disease, it has been stated that *1 in 7 women in the UK will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. It can affect any gender but is mainly common in women.
It's essential to have a basic understanding of breast cancer, including its risk factors and symptoms. Individuals should be aware of these for early detection and prevention. Early detection of breast cancer considerably improves treatment outcomes which is why more education on the subject, risk assessments, and routine checkups are so important.
