Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teacher to join our team in the Surrey Hills area. This permanent, full-time role offers a competitive salary range of £29,350 to £42,688 for qualified candidates, along with a £1000 retention bonus. As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality education and support to students with special educational needs, helping them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Develop, implement, and review IEPs tailored to the unique needs of each student.
  • Teaching: Deliver engaging and effective lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of SEN students.
  • Assessment: Regularly assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers, teaching assistants, and external professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to student education.
  • Support: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, ensuring they receive the attention they need.
  • Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in SEN education.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and development.


  • Education: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience: Proven experience working with SEN students in a school setting.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of SEN best practices, including the implementation of IEPs.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
