We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate HCA's to join our team, supporting students with a range of special educational needs (SEN). As a HCA, you will play a pivotal role within a dedicated team, working closely with teachers and staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Your efforts will empower students to achieve their full potential, ensuring an enriching educational experience.


Key Responsibilities:

As a HCA Your role is integral to the success of our students with special educational needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-on-one or group support to students with SEN, assisting them with academic tasks, communication, and social interactions.
  • Effectively managing challenging behaviours and implementing behaviour intervention plans to foster positive conduct among students.
  • Assisting students with personal care routines, encompassing toileting, feeding, mobility, and any other activities of daily living as required.
  • Establishing and maintaining open and effective communication with students, teachers, therapists, and parents/guardians. Reporting student progress and any concerns promptly and accurately.
  • Collaborating in the implementation of individualised education plans and working closely with teachers and therapists to deliver a tailored learning experience for each student.
  • Cultivating a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity and encourages the active participation of all students.


Required Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • GCSEs or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience working with individuals with special educational needs.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Completion of a full enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
  • Valid driver's license, as the role may require travel to remote locations.

  • Enthusiastic, imaginative, and creative individuals.
  • Compassionate, dedicated, and driven, both for personal growth and the betterment of others.
  • Prior experience in working with children is advantageous, but not a prerequisite.
  • Highly adaptable with a can-do mindset, capable of teamwork and taking independent initiatives to empower children to excel.
  • Proficient in literacy and numeracy, substantiated by exam achievements.
  • Proficient at cultivating nurturing and secure connections with children, fostering respect, self-esteem, and a positive, inclusive school-wide culture.
