  • Low caseloads, with a maximum of 9 cases, enabling you to provide focused support and maintain high-quality service delivery.
  • Expectations for assessments to be completed by Supervising Social Workers only when Independent Social Workers (ISW) are unavailable or when caseloads are exceptionally low.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive support and supervision to foster carers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and guidance to meet the needs of children in their care.
  • Conduct regular home visits and assessments to monitor the well-being and progress of foster placements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to coordinate services and support networks for children and their families.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions, adhering to statutory regulations and organizational policies.
  • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and training sessions to contribute to continuous learning and service improvement.
  • Act as an advocate for children's rights and best interests, promoting their safety, stability, and emotional well-being at all times.

 

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration and experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated understanding of child protection procedures, fostering regulations, and relevant legislation.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish effective working relationships.
  • Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of practice.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and caseload demands while maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
