Registered General Nurse (RGN) Nutrix Medical - Private Hospital, Durham

Job Description:

Nutrix Medical is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our team at a prestigious private hospital in Durham. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality patient care, demonstrating clinical excellence and compassion in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care:

    • Provide exceptional nursing care to patients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
    • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
    • Monitor and assess patient conditions, promptly reporting any changes to the medical team.
  • Clinical Skills:

    • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
    • Assist with diagnostic tests, procedures, and surgeries as needed.
    • Utilize advanced clinical skills to manage complex patient cases effectively.
  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, specialists, and support staff, to ensure seamless patient care.
    • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support throughout their treatment journey.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Quality and Compliance:

    • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure high standards of care and patient safety.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous development of clinical services.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards, including infection control and health and safety protocols.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage a diverse patient caseload.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
