Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Anaesthetic and Recovery Nurse to join our dynamic theatre team in Sussex. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care throughout the perioperative journey, focusing on both the anaesthetic and post-operative recovery phases.

Working across a variety of surgical specialties, you will be responsible for preparing patients for anaesthesia, assisting the anaesthetist during procedures, and ensuring safe and effective recovery post-surgery. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and delivery of anaesthesia to patients undergoing surgery

• Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to any changes during anaesthesia and recovery

• Provide skilled, compassionate care in the immediate post-operative period

• Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to infection control protocols

• Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC) qualification

• Relevant post-registration experience in anaesthetics and/or recovery

• ALS (Advanced Life Support) certification is desirable

• Strong communication skills and ability to work well under pressure

• Commitment to continuous professional development
