We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our dynamic team.
Role Overview:
As the Deputy Nursery Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth running of the nursery. You will lead and inspire the staff team, maintain a safe and nurturing environment, and uphold the highest standards of care and education for the children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
- Lead and motivate a team of practitioners, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Oversee the planning and implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Ensure that the nursery environment is safe, clean, and stimulating, promoting the well-being and development of all children.
- Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies, ensuring effective communication and partnership.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of provision through regular observations, assessments, and feedback.
- Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and leading training sessions.
- Step in to cover the Nursery Manager’s responsibilities in their absence.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and current early years legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents.
- A proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving and team management.
- A passion for early years education and a commitment to continuous professional development.
